Borders on the signature quilt

Home from the wedding which was wonderful. Dad and Pat are very happy. It was wonderful for the whole family to get together and celebrate this wonderful occasion. Here is a close-up of one of the blocks with signatures on it:
Its kinda hard to see the signatures but its as close as I could get without it coming out too blurry. The Pigma pens ran out at the rehearsal dinner so some of the signatures are in regular pen. I'm going to have to go over them with Pigma pens so they are permanent.

I added a yellow border for the quilt to tie it all together.
What do you think? I like the yellow. Pat said that she would like it for a wall hanging. I have put the quilt sandwich together and just have to pin it. I am going to quilt it myself. Probably in the ditch and some diagonals.

Third row and bottom border on...just in time

It was down to the wire. I leave today for Long Island for my father's wedding. I finished the last row yesterday. Got up early this a.m. and put on the bottom border:
I am really pleased with how it came out. Now to just get everyone to sign it! I have also added a detail of one block with my signature:
Can you see what I wrote? It says: "To Pat and Denis, Good luck as you embark on this journey of marriage. Happiness and joy! Love, Patty Anne, Marty, Catherine & Lizizie".

After the wedding I'll post pictures with more signatures from the guests. I am also going to add a border before I make the quilt sandwich. Love how it came out!

Charm Square Market Bag

I had been working on this bag for myself in my weekly Wednesday class. I tried to complete it on my own but my teacher Cathy Bodio altered the pattern and I could not make it work. Soooo last night I went to class at http://www.emmasquiltcupboard.com/ to work out the kinks with my teacher. Here is the result:
I LOVE this bag. I used the Moda Le Petit Poulet charm pack for the outside. I purchased it from http://www.greenfairyquilts.com/. I found them through Facebook and have bought pre-cuts from them. I'd highly recommend that you add them to your on-line quilt shop list!

First Row of Signature Quilt

I got the first row completed for the signature quilt:
I have two more rows to complete. I did some more cutting this morning and hopefully I'll get to some sewing over the weekend. I only need to have it all done by next Friday. YIKES!

Signature quilt in process

Well finally started cutting the material for the signature quilt that I am making for my father's wedding. The quilt is called "Ties that Bind" and it is from Keepsake Signature Quilts by Sally Saulman.
I only have 8 more blocks to go. Need to have it done by July 27th. I think I can have it done. Anyone recommend pens to use for the signing?

Label for Janie's quilt

The quilt I made for Janie was super easy. I got the pattern from Bradie Sparrow. She offered it for free on her website http://quiltcetera.wordpress.com/. If you are a beginning quilter I'd recommend that you follow her on the blog or on FB. She has excellent patterns!

Here is the picture of the label:
